Midway Beach

 Today we were learning to write adding personification to our writing. I wrote about when I went to Midway Beach with my dogs. 

I found it easy to find a good background and a good font for my slide. I also found it easy to write about Midway beach. 

I found it hard to add personification because I'm not really that good at it. In the end I think I did pretty well with personification. 

Next time I will add more words to paragraph 3 and 4.  

Excitement Gone Wrong ( Imaginative Writing )

Today we were learning to make a imaginative piece of writing by adding describing words and  personification.

I found it easy to think about what I was going to write because I have a really good imangenation. I also found it easy to put it on my slide and choose the background color, font and the color of the font. 

I found it hard to add personification to my writing and plan how my writing was going to work in the different paragraphs. 

Next time I will add personification and make it have a plot twist at the end. 

The Awapuni School Fun Run!

Today we were writing about the Awapuni Fun Run. We had to do one moment in time about the Fun Run. 

I found it hard to name what my paragraphs are going to be called, but in the end I came up of what I was calling them. 

I found it easy to describe about the fun run because so many great things happened and that I could describe it really well. I also found it easy to choose a background because the fun run was colorful, so I went for a colorful background. 

Next time I will add more personification and make the words bigger to see them. 

Venn Diagram about 2 different New Zealand athletes

Today during reading my group ( Atawhai) Had to take notes about 2 different New Zealand Athletes. Then we had to make a venn diagram about what they have in common and what there differences are. The 2 New Zealand athletes I choose was Chad Adair and Sarah Ulmer,have you heard of those New Zealand athletes before? While I was finding my 2 athletes I learned that there is 212 NZ athletes,cool right? 

I really enjoyed learning about the athletes because I don't really know much about athletes. I also really enjoyed comparing the 2 athletes to see if they had anything in common or not in common. I also really enjoyed making my venn diagram colorful and choosing different colors for every sentence.

I found it easy to make it colorful and take notes about the athletes because when I typed it up on goggle it came up with a lot off facts about New Zealand athletes. Also we had to do a wordsearch and see how long you did it for the amount of time I did it for was 164 seconds have a try for yourself here see if you can beat me. We did the word search about Kelly holmes you will see I did a blog post about Kelly Holmes.  

I found it hard to choose what athletes to choose because there were so many different New Zealand athletes to choose from. The reason I chose them is because since they both did biking I think they might have some things in common. I think that learning about them were very interesting because I don't know how its like being an athlete,but I really like running.

Next time I'm going to level up and do more facts about them and maybe do 4 New Zealand athletes to see if any of them have more things in common with Chad and Sarah. What do you think I should do to level up?  

 

My book review about Kelly Holmes

Today during reading we read a book about a famous olympian athlete Kelly Holmes. We had to fill in the book review about what you thought about the book of Kelly Holmes. The questions were Tell me something you learnt? Would you recommend this for a friend? In my opinan..., My favorite part was? You should read this because? I think? those were all the questions we got asked about the book,Kelly Holmes.

I really enjoyed reading about an olympian because it's really interesting learning about what they love and how they became really well at that sport. I also enjoyed reading Kelly Holmes childhood and what sports she played and what made her want to be a runner. 

The easy thing about the book and the activity was understanding what the questions mean because Mrs Bava added a mote about what the questions mean. I also found it easy to answer the questions about the book because it was a pretty understanding book to read. 

The hard thing is answering the question of who the author is because it did not tell us who the arouther was in the story. I also found it hard to rate the book I didn't know if I should give it a 4 or 5 it was really hard because it was a great book to read. But I went with a 4.

Next time I will like to read about a different ahtlite who won in this years olympics and who is still an olympian/athlete. 

Covid-19 writing

Today during Bubble School I made a recount about Covid-19. I thought that I would like to share what I knew about Covid-19,with you. I learned how to explain what Covid-19 is. Do you know much about the scary virus? ( Covied 19 ) 

While I was doing my writing I really enjoyed choosing the them. I also enjoyed writing because I love writing. I also liked my images that I added because I think that it makes it look more cooler than just a boring  slide with a red background and some words.

The easy thing about writing is that I already knew what Covid-19 was,so I had all that knowledge in my head to just write on the slide just like that. It was also easy to find images that will go well with the text and make sense, by mask and a QR code and such and such.

The hard thing about it was choosing the them because I wanted it all to match and seem like it is a Covied-19 slide. I tried to keep the same theme on each slide,such has a red background and the same text font. The other hard thing was trying to find images without backgrounds but then I found perfect ones without a background. ( If you want an image with no background write PNG at the end of you word) Also it was hard trying to log into mote so it can record me saying my writing

Next time  I will level up and add mote of me recording me saying my writing and polyline the images myself,and add some extra things to my writing

Bubble life

Today during lockdown at bubble school I made a bubble life recount about being locked up at home and not being able to do anything at all!! Mind you we have all been a bubble before so you already know how it feels like but this is my story about being well stuck in jail almost! The thing that I enjoyed while making my piece of writing is I liked to make kidda funny at the same time and I liked describing what I was doing during lockdown. The easy thing is that I have done hardly anything during lockdown,I mean we have gone on walks and that's about it so I could just write something like that. The hard thing was writing because I didn't know what to write about,also the thing that I found during lockdown was to find things to do. In the future I think I should do more writing about my lockdown even though it was boring.
