Midway Beach

 Today we were learning to write adding personification to our writing. I wrote about when I went to Midway Beach with my dogs. 

I found it easy to find a good background and a good font for my slide. I also found it easy to write about Midway beach. 

I found it hard to add personification because I'm not really that good at it. In the end I think I did pretty well with personification. 

Next time I will add more words to paragraph 3 and 4.  

Excitement Gone Wrong ( Imaginative Writing )

Today we were learning to make a imaginative piece of writing by adding describing words and  personification.

I found it easy to think about what I was going to write because I have a really good imangenation. I also found it easy to put it on my slide and choose the background color, font and the color of the font. 

I found it hard to add personification to my writing and plan how my writing was going to work in the different paragraphs. 

Next time I will add personification and make it have a plot twist at the end. 

The Awapuni School Fun Run!

Today we were writing about the Awapuni Fun Run. We had to do one moment in time about the Fun Run. 

I found it hard to name what my paragraphs are going to be called, but in the end I came up of what I was calling them. 

I found it easy to describe about the fun run because so many great things happened and that I could describe it really well. I also found it easy to choose a background because the fun run was colorful, so I went for a colorful background. 

Next time I will add more personification and make the words bigger to see them. 

Venn Diagram about 2 different New Zealand athletes

Today during reading my group ( Atawhai) Had to take notes about 2 different New Zealand Athletes. Then we had to make a venn diagram about what they have in common and what there differences are. The 2 New Zealand athletes I choose was Chad Adair and Sarah Ulmer,have you heard of those New Zealand athletes before? While I was finding my 2 athletes I learned that there is 212 NZ athletes,cool right? 

I really enjoyed learning about the athletes because I don't really know much about athletes. I also really enjoyed comparing the 2 athletes to see if they had anything in common or not in common. I also really enjoyed making my venn diagram colorful and choosing different colors for every sentence.

I found it easy to make it colorful and take notes about the athletes because when I typed it up on goggle it came up with a lot off facts about New Zealand athletes. Also we had to do a wordsearch and see how long you did it for the amount of time I did it for was 164 seconds have a try for yourself here see if you can beat me. We did the word search about Kelly holmes you will see I did a blog post about Kelly Holmes.  

I found it hard to choose what athletes to choose because there were so many different New Zealand athletes to choose from. The reason I chose them is because since they both did biking I think they might have some things in common. I think that learning about them were very interesting because I don't know how its like being an athlete,but I really like running.

Next time I'm going to level up and do more facts about them and maybe do 4 New Zealand athletes to see if any of them have more things in common with Chad and Sarah. What do you think I should do to level up?  

 

My book review about Kelly Holmes

Today during reading we read a book about a famous olympian athlete Kelly Holmes. We had to fill in the book review about what you thought about the book of Kelly Holmes. The questions were Tell me something you learnt? Would you recommend this for a friend? In my opinan..., My favorite part was? You should read this because? I think? those were all the questions we got asked about the book,Kelly Holmes.

I really enjoyed reading about an olympian because it's really interesting learning about what they love and how they became really well at that sport. I also enjoyed reading Kelly Holmes childhood and what sports she played and what made her want to be a runner. 

The easy thing about the book and the activity was understanding what the questions mean because Mrs Bava added a mote about what the questions mean. I also found it easy to answer the questions about the book because it was a pretty understanding book to read. 

The hard thing is answering the question of who the author is because it did not tell us who the arouther was in the story. I also found it hard to rate the book I didn't know if I should give it a 4 or 5 it was really hard because it was a great book to read. But I went with a 4.

Next time I will like to read about a different ahtlite who won in this years olympics and who is still an olympian/athlete. 

Covid-19 writing

Today during Bubble School I made a recount about Covid-19. I thought that I would like to share what I knew about Covid-19,with you. I learned how to explain what Covid-19 is. Do you know much about the scary virus? ( Covied 19 ) 

While I was doing my writing I really enjoyed choosing the them. I also enjoyed writing because I love writing. I also liked my images that I added because I think that it makes it look more cooler than just a boring  slide with a red background and some words.

The easy thing about writing is that I already knew what Covid-19 was,so I had all that knowledge in my head to just write on the slide just like that. It was also easy to find images that will go well with the text and make sense, by mask and a QR code and such and such.

The hard thing about it was choosing the them because I wanted it all to match and seem like it is a Covied-19 slide. I tried to keep the same theme on each slide,such has a red background and the same text font. The other hard thing was trying to find images without backgrounds but then I found perfect ones without a background. ( If you want an image with no background write PNG at the end of you word) Also it was hard trying to log into mote so it can record me saying my writing

Next time  I will level up and add mote of me recording me saying my writing and polyline the images myself,and add some extra things to my writing

Bubble life

Today during lockdown at bubble school I made a bubble life recount about being locked up at home and not being able to do anything at all!! Mind you we have all been a bubble before so you already know how it feels like but this is my story about being well stuck in jail almost! The thing that I enjoyed while making my piece of writing is I liked to make kidda funny at the same time and I liked describing what I was doing during lockdown. The easy thing is that I have done hardly anything during lockdown,I mean we have gone on walks and that's about it so I could just write something like that. The hard thing was writing because I didn't know what to write about,also the thing that I found during lockdown was to find things to do. In the future I think I should do more writing about my lockdown even though it was boring. 

My Comic Begging in a bubble Stuck In Lock Down

Today during writing in my lockdown,we had an option to make a lockdown diary or a life begin stuck at home,comic . I choose to do a Comic because I have never made a comic before. I liked how Miss Morrow Raikin did an example for us,I used some ideas from her comic. It was very enjoyable when I choose my charters and my background because I already knew what I was going to do. The hard thing while I was doing my comic is that keeping to the task. In the future I might polyline my avatars because It will look like I did it all by myself 

Spring Poem

Today during lockdown I made a poem about spring. We got to choose between two different activities,Spring poem or Bubble life about being stuck at home.While I was making my poem I really enjoyed making it colorful and making it pop so it draws the person in wanting to read it. I thought of really good words for my poem but the hard letter was 'I' but then I came up with something great. The easy thing was that there was a demonstration of one so we could get some ideas and I used some ideas. In the future I want to challenge myself and add another word in their.

Book Review

During reading today my group were reading the book Independence Games. It is a book about when people with disabilities come forward and give sports ago. While I was filling in the book review I gave the book 3 stars out of five. When I was doing the book review I learned that it doesn't matter if you have a disability that you can still play sports and that people with disabilities are capable as well like me and you. I would not recommend this book to my friend because I don't think that she will be interested. In my opinion I liked reading the book because It was fun learning about other people. In the future I would like to go and watch people play the independence games.

Tokyo Olympics Acrostic Poem

Today during writing we had to make a acrostic poem about the Tokyo Olympics.We did the Tokyo olympics beauce we have been learning about the olympics all term. While I was doing it I liked how I knew what to write because we did an activity about the olympic values so I already knew some.  

Book Review

Today during reading my group were reading the story Miri and Ruru. We had to work our way through our slides that our teacher has set up for us. Once we read the book we had to do a book review about it. During that time I was doing the book review we had to answer questions like what was your fav part about the book and what you enjoyed and so, I really enjoyed answering the questions because I didn't need to re read the book to see what I was going to write because I had that knowledge in my head. When I was reading the book Miri and Ruru I thought that it was hard  for me because I got confused sometimes because since it was a comic I didn't really know were I should read. In the future I will like to read a harder book such has the olympics because I don't really know much about the olympics it I think it will be a good opportunity to read it.

Awapuni News

During writing today my teacher Mrs Bava thought it will be a good idea to create a newspaper. Mrs Bava put some videos up on the writing site to write about.I choose a panda in the snow and a duck named Waddles getting a 3D leg! When I was watching the videos I liked watching the panda rolling like a washing machine in the snow to me that snow looked so cold but not for the panda! I also liked watching the people helping waddles with is 3D leg it made me so happy that Waddles could walk again. When I was making the Awapuni news it was hard to take screenshots at the right moment because the if I paused the video the pause button will be in the way so I had to take a screenshot at the perfect moment. During making the newspaper the thing that I found easy is choosing the background because I think grey colours go really well with newspaper,also the font was easy because I tried to keep is calm and basic. In the future I might make 4 news about different videos.

Comic about Bullys

Today we were learning about to make a comic on a new website that we haven't used before. 

I enjoyed making my own character and making a comic because I haven't done one before I also enjoyed how many cool backgrounds there were but I didn't like how some of the really good ones were locked so you can't use them.

I found it easy to use the comice website because there were easy instructions.

I found it hard to choose what background because most of them were locked and same with the characters and it also took a long time to load.

Next time I will make a comic about something different instead of bullies,also try out different sites on how to make comics

Olympic Animation

Today we were learning about the olympic values,and creating an animation that show the olympic values,excellence,respect and  friendship

I enjoyed working with Jaynie because we have never worked on an animation together before.

I found it easy to do the front cover and agree and work with Jaynie cowpovlty.

I found it hard to polyline the people and that is why me Jaynie didn't polyline

Next time I will polyline the people and make the end and the front cover pop

Olympian Recipe

Today during writing we were making our owen recipe of what it takes to be an olympian and to be in the olympics. 

I found it easy to write my recipe because our teacher made an example and we have been learning about olympics.

I found it hard to put in verbs,adjectives and nouns.

Next time I will make my writing longer and make it make sense.

Is it important to be prepared for a natural disaster

We were learning about how to write a persuasive writing about ' Is it important to be prepared for a natural disaster'

I found it easy to understand the meaning of persuasive writing,by adding something I learnt in my persuasive writing. I also found it easy to find all my information about why we should be prepared because of my teacher Mrs Bava put links there for us.

I found it hard to find a background that will go well with my words and my writing, I was looking for a background that had a connection with my words.

Next time I will add more evidence for each paragraph.

Mountain Safety

Today we were learning how to make a poster about mountain safety. I learnt about mountain safety from a book in reading.

I found it easy to find a person hiking on a mountain for my photo. I also found it easy to read the book and find some mountain safety tips. ( Tip if you want an image with no background just add at the end of your word PNG it will get you a photo with no background that you were looking for )

I found it hard to find a background that will suit my writing and title. I also found it hard to choose what background because I could only use a color for my background not an image.

Next time I will come up with my own ideas of mountain safety in my own words. Also I will add some more images explaining my poster.

Earthquake Animation

Today we were learning about how to create an animation  about a earthquake.

I found it easy to build the buildings in my animation and to post my animation on my blog. 

I found it hard to work with my buddy because we came up with really different Ideas and that we didn't agree but In the end me made a really good animation.

Next time I will polyline the wave and add people drop,cover and hold in the animation.

My Logo about me

Today we were learning about ourselves by making a logo about what we like doing and our favorite hobby during manaklani time and finishing time. I really enjoyed doing this activity in manaklani because like telling people about me.

I found it hard to make my name fit because everything else about me was in the way so that made it hard to group stuff to move it away without it being a disaster. And I also found it hard to polyline the netball because I was trying to make it look like a silver fern netball. I also found it hard to find images of silver ferns because I was finding some that looked easy to polyline but their were none so I had to go with a normal one and not polyline it because I knew that it was going to be to hard to do.

I found it easy to find a gymnastics girl to polyline because when I typed in png it came up with some really good images of gymnastics girls that could be easy to polyline.I also found it easy to polyline my crystale ( I really like crystals ) because I used a tool to make it really well and make it look real.

Next time I will make my images of my hobbies all together instead of a bit far apart. I really enjoyed doing this activity. I will also add a little more detail about me.

Kayaking in the rain!

Today we were learning about to post I pice off writing from this term. I chose to post me kayaking in the rain at camp kaitawa.

I found it easy to copy and paste my writing to my google slide and find a piece off writing that will be good to post on my blog.

I found it hard to make my background calm and find my spelling mistakes in my writing because I had to much writing. 

Next time I will make my writing a bit shorter and make my writing more describing with more rich words

Camp Kaitawa

Today we were reflecting on camp kaitawa 

I found it easy to use the mote and level up by adding mote in my animation and having my slides all 90% polyline  and to answer the questions.

I found it hard to make my animation more detailed and more mote to explain what I am doing.

Next time I will make my animation a bit different by adding me tipping someone else out of their kayak.

Horouta Story Animation

Today we were learning about  to make an animation about the horouta  story. We only had to do one piece of our favirote part of the book and turn it into an animation. We had to level up by adding mote into our slide. Mote is a recording app that records what you are saying.

I found it easy to use the mote and to move my things as an animation.

I found It hard to join all my human body together without is falling apart and being a disaster also I found it hard to make my mote more describing.

Next time I will make my humen more realistic and make my animation a little bit longer with more mote and more detail with the background.

What I learnt About UV

Today we were learning about to make a Uv poster about what we learnt about Uv and we only had 45 minutes to complete our Uv poster.

I found it hard to use the moto which is this recording app that records what you are saying, I found it to use moto because the app mote was not allowed on google drawings and that I couldn't insert it as an audio.

I found it easy to find the pictures and insert it on my google drawing. I also found it easy to listen to the inscrountens and to finish in 45 minutes.

Next time I will not speed to much time making font all pretty and have a little bit more writing about what the Uv means. I will try next time to add mote and ask the teacher for help and also ask why my google drawing is blurry when I post.

PB4L Logo

I was learning about to create a logo by using tools such as polyline,curve,line and much more.We were also learning how to use a new tool that was called mote.

I found it hard to use the mote because you only have 30 seconds to recorde and I also found it hard to polyline the earth because it was so round.

I found it easy to make my logo fit on one page I also found it easy to learn how to use mote.

Next time I will make it more detail by having a background and having a little bit more color.

School Triathlon

We were learning about the school triathlon. This year for the triathlon we had to do 2 laps of running, 2 lapes of biking and 2 laps for swimming. We needed to remember to bring our shoes and our togs for running,biking and swimming.

My goal for the school triathlon next year is to when I run is to take deep breaths and try and get a ribbon. I should also try and train as much as I can  for the next tryathlon.

I found it hard to keep up with my running and take slow deep breaths and keep up my swimming by not walking.

Next time I will take slow deep breaths and give it 100% in everything. 

 

Sunflower Poem

Today we were learning about  how to do a poem about a sunflower with rich words not boring words 

found it easy to make the words stand out with the background 

I found it challenging to choose a good background because i needed a background that looked ok and that you could easily read the writing 

Next time i will add a more describing ending to my writing
